Bought this bookcase to match the Sauder Harbor View computer armoir we had recently purchased. The bookcase is very heavy duty and solid. The shelves about a full inch thick. You can fill it with the heaviest of books and it will not sag. It is solid! It is fairly easy to assemble, but does take some time. The doors fit and work very well. It has a dark brown, weathered finish, and abundant storage behind the doors. That space has one adjustable or removeable shelf. I can think of no negatives about the unit.
