The product is all solid wood -- no laminate or particle board crap. Hardware is solid and includes a pneumatic shock to open the lid once you release the magnetic closure -- very nicely designed. Product come unassembled but assembly was very easy. Finish on the wood is excellent. The cloth liner fits the inside contours perfectly -- clearly the cloth liner is not an afterthought but rather was specifically cut and designed to fit inside this wooden hamper perfectly.
