I ordered this crib to use for my grandson. The first one arrived damaged (in transit). Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, which arrived in great shape. It took my husband and me about one hour to assemble. It is a nice looking crib. As others have said, it is unfortunate that the hardware is visible. The one thing that bothers me, is the distance from the top of the mattress to the top of the front rail when the mattress is at the lowest position. That distance is only 19 inches. My grandson is one year old. The crib he has at home, sets at least 4 inches lower. I'm concerned about him being able to easily crawl over the rail.
