All-Clad 4-Square Waffle Maker Review

We were given this waffle iron as a house warming gift, and I have fired up this baby every Saturday morning since we opened the box.

THE PROS
-Dummy proof. When it beeps, you open it up and take the waffles out. No more slowly opening it up and seeing a split waffle inside with the subsequent "NOOOOOO!"
-Heat adjustable. You can make light, fluffy waffles or darker, crispier waffles for your husband after he's asked his mother to come stay with you for a couple of weeks. And then even darker and crispier waffles for her when she's here. You know, hypothetically speaking.
-Drip tray attaches to the back to catch all of the excess batter you didn't know you poured in.
-Easy to keep clean. Just wipe it down inside and out after each use. Or, you know, wait for it to cool down and get to it a couple of days later.

THE CON
-It's a bit heavy and bulky. If you have the counter space it's great to keep out, since it is a beautiful appliance. Otherwise you're going to be awkwardly hefting that sucker and turning it at an angle to get it into a cupboard. Fortunately it locks, so it's not flopping open while this is happening. Unlike the futon.

THE CONCLUSION
I am a huge fan of this waffle iron and if you can shell out the tree fiddy (kidding, only tree) for it, you will love it too.
