Calvin Klein Elm Queen Duvet Set Prune Review

I purchased the king duvet set, plus the matching sheets and toss pillow. Ultimately I returned the sheets because they were so scratchy my husband refused to sleep in them. The sheets were thin and scratchy, low thread count. The duvet set looks great though and since the fabric would not be against our skin we kept the duvet, which came with two king pillowcases. The pillowcases are for extra pillows you lean against, not pillows you would lay your head on (again, scratchy cotton). We paired the duvet set with 800-thread-count silver sheets from Hotel Collection instead. This duvet buttons along the bottom hem, and the color and design are as pictured, a rich aubergine that goes great when coordinated with plum, silver, or beige. After washing the duvet there were a lot of wrinkles in it, so I did a quick steaming pass with an iron over the bed to release the wrinkles on top (not a big deal, the wrinkles came out easily). The pillowcases really need to be pressed on an ironing board. Keep in mind that this set is Calvin Klein's "affordable" collection, not their luxury collection, but unfortunately I could not find anything in their luxury collection that I liked the look of better, nor could I find softer sheets like the CK sheets I bought five years ago. I would recommend purchasing this duvet set over any of the "luxury" CK duvet sets - as long as you get it on sale! - and then buy some nicer, softer sheets.

Pendleton Glacier National Park Full Blanket Review

If you like wool blankets, you'll love this one. It's heavy, tightly woven, and well-made. The stripes look great, and it adds a nice bit of simplistic decoration and warmth to a rustic bed. Looks great tossed in a chair or on the couch too, for those cold evenings in a lodge by the fire. Comes packaged in a good quality plastic blanket bag, along with a check list to tease you about all of the other national park blankets you've yet to buy. I can't say it reminds me of my visit to Glacier National Park, but knowing that it's aligned to that trip still makes for a neat tidbit of knowledge. Pendleton blankets are great, you can't really go wrong here if you like the theme/pattern.

South Shore Furniture City Life Collection TV Stand, Pure Black Review

I just put this stand together a few hours ago and thought I would leave a review. Most of the 60" stands I looked at started around $250 to $300 and went up from there. I was hesitant to make this purchase but for $160 I couldn't say no. After putting the stand together I am so glad I saved so much money.

The stand took about 2 hours to put together. I'm not an expert but I've put together dressers, TV stands in the past. There are a lot of small parts to add to the wood but if you've ever been down this road before it is nothing new. After being put together the stand is rock solid. I am 185 pounds and sat on it without any problems. It looks very pleasing and I had a hard time finding anything negative to write about. There are tiny chips off the edges but most of them are covered up anyway, and thats about it. It looks very good in my living room. Now I can't wait to get my new plasma on top of it. The drawers are very wide and will help keep the area very organized.

For the price this stand is 5 stars. Very sturdy and looks very trendy. I could not have been more pleased and I'm glad I didn't plop down double the cash when I am completely satisfied. If you want to spend as little as possible and still have high quality this is the way to go.

3 Piece Carey Dinette Set Review

I'm very happy with this dinette set. It fits perfect in my kitchen nook that's only about six feet long. After hours of shopping online and in furniture stores, this was a great find, especially for the price. The only downfall for me was the cushions. They appeared to be a solid color online, but there are actually some brown and orange/peach specks in them. Although, the way the chairs are put together makes them very easy to recover. Overall, I'm still pleased with the quality of the furniture.

Linon Chelsea Kitchen Nook Corner Unit Review

I liked this the 1st time I saw it, something about it just catches your eye. People always compliment me on it and thats always a good thing.

Its fairly easy to put together but with at least two people it will go smoothly. One person can do it but its frustrating.

One good point is there is a long and short side which can be disassembled and reversed. So that way it can fit in any corner. I have switched mine at least 3 times in different apartments.

Its sturdy but not very comfortable with long sittings.

The seats open up and there is storage inside them

Its relatively light weight, I believe mines made of pine. My cat loves to sharpen her claws on it so one thing to think about if you have cats lol
