I cannot believe how wonderful this turned out to be! I know what I am talking about too. I have owned a regular white drawing table, an antique wooden drafting table, and last purchased the Manchester drawing table with a split top, which was awful....so, when I got this I was in heaven!! It is easy to put together and so what there are no holes for the back of the thingie that raises the top....only a whimp would call it a lemon to not have those ready. I am a small girl with no power drill and screwed it in fine. The glass works great as a trace table and when you leave the light underneath you color illustrations in better as well. I consider it very professional. The only problem is it is a tad low so I plan to buy the extension to make it taller so I no longer have to sit on a stool. All in all, I would say this table is WONDERFUL and will help me launch my career as an illustrator! THANK YOU!! P.S. The glass is very sturdy and thick, not flimsy at all!!
