This blanket is quite rough to the touch and rather thin. it's a summer blanket. I haven't washed it yet so I can't comment on how it handles the wash. At least it's 100% wool and has no chemical smell; an ok blanket but I don't consider this a great purchase at $178. seems way overpriced (on the plus side it is made in the USA).
