My plumber who installed this told me that I would need to set it on about 3 out of 5 to keep the detached garage apartment that I use for an office warm, which is about 450 square feet on a second floor with an unheated garage below. The other night it was 17 degrees and breezy outside and 1.25-1.5 out of 5 kept things comfortable. I have been using two electric heaters and the winter electric bills have been higher for the office than for my house on the same realty that has central heat and air, a washing macnine, an electric dryer, refrigerator, multiple TVs with every family member watching theirs and all sorts of other electrical devices. Further, electric heaters did not keep it warm, just unfrozen. Most winter days my fingers were darn cold on the keyboard. Now I look forward to winter days in the office. Why didn't I install this years ago? Great unit.

All-Clad 6201.5 SS Copper Core 5-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe 1.5-Quart Saucepan Cookware, Silver Review

My first All Clad pieces included a All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Fry Pan and a 1 � quart sauce pan both in the LTD. The Copper Core line was not yet available. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone with the 1 quart sauce pan in Copper Core (well, I actually purchased one when it became available. Why? For three reasons.

The Copper Core sauce pan heats up faster (only slightly faster on an electric range but considerably faster on a gas range) than my original LTD or Stainless versions. So while cooking faster is easy in this pan, turn down your fire especially if you cook with gas like I do. Otherwise you'll boil this pan dry (so far so good that I have not yet done it with this pan).

But what I really like is the rolled lip. Pouring without dribbling hot liquids down the side of the pan is very nice and neat. It's too bad All Clad does not have rolled lips on their entire saucepan line.

I can cook anything in it. That includes acidic tomato based spaghetti sauces.

I have many All Clad pieces. If I had to do it over again, I would only buy from the Copper Core line with the possible exception of some of the larger saut� pans (4 quart and larger) and stock pots (larger than 8 quarts). Those Copper Core pieces are much heavier than the comparable Stainless versions. All the All Clad saut� pans and stock pots (except the 7 quart stock pot) have rolled lips because of the pasta pentola insert.

My suggestion: if price is an issue but you want a quality piece, go for the All-Clad Stainless 1-1/2-Quart Saucepan or the dishwasher safe All Clad LTD2 1.5-Quart Sauce Pan version if you can live with dribbling when pouring (the LTD2 uses the same handles as the Copper Core). If you can afford it, go for the Copper Core version.

PROS:

Flared lip helps prevent dribbling hot liquids down the sides of the saucepan.

The handle design helps keep your hands comfortably cool to the touch and the wider and longer handle makes it more comfortable to hold.

It's a quality product that is made in the USA.

CONS:

You pay for the expensive copper.

Its heavier although should not be too heavy for every day use.

You really have to stay close to the kitchen as the Copper Core pan will boil dry faster than a regular pan.

Max Burton 6500 ProChef 1800-Watt Commercial Induction Cooktop Review

Received this last week and it works extremely well except for a loud high pitched squeal. I have tried various cookware (induction ready) and so far for the PRICE have found Winco's line of induction ware the best to use.
I have not used cast iron or carbon steel. Will be checking that over the next few days.

Update 5-28-11
We received a second unit and used it for a Pasta station last night. Tried cast iron skillet - no noticeable squeal.

Event was a huge success and everyone commented on how fresh, well prepared and quick, meals got to them. Used Linguini and Penne with over 15 toppings. Average cooking time on previously sauteed or cooked food (all was cold)was 2 minutes done in front of clients. THEY LOVE THE SHOW!

Strongly suggest Winco RSK-6 1/2" or RSK-8" Iron Skillets that will eliminate the squeal. You do not want anything bigger than that for individual meals. Portions are more controllable, skillet weighs less and takes up less room on table. If you don't mind the high pitched squeal (most people over 50 can't hear it) then use the Winco SSFP-8NS stainless steel 8" which is lighter than the Iron Skillets. Both are available from many places including Tigerchef.com.

If you use a non-iron skillet that is induction ready, the hotter the skillet the less noise it makes.

We plan on buying at last 2 more. They are portable, well made and easily adjustable. Use 2 skillets per stove top so that as you are preparing or cooking, the machine does not shut off, otherwise the machine will beep if you lift the skillet and then turn off automatically. I may be disconnecting the beeper.

So far this is a great product, well made and well laid out.

Stork Craft Savona Fixed Side Convertible Crib, White Review

Really very well pleased with this crib. It was simple to put together and looks classic and gorgeous. Only took my husband and I about 2 hours. Also, the color is definitely a darker espresso than what is pictured. It matches the combo changer/dresser I purchased perfectly, although I was a little concerned initially since the color in the picture is lighter than the color in the picture of the changer. Would definitely order this again.

I was searching high and low of a George Nelson style bench, and kept finding pictures that do not accurately show the product. They just copied an image from the internet and it arrived differently. I can say that this one arrived exactly as shown within the image. The wood work is good, no wood filler! The legs are well painted, and it was very easy to assemble! I did have one problem with a screw hole. It wasn't drilled all the way through (easy fix). But actually let it stay unscrewed. Each leg has 4 screw holes. Even 2 would be enough. Overall I am very happy with this purchase! Great price!!

I currently owned a glass-topped elephant accent table and glass topped elephant coffee/cocktail table and needed 2 end tables to complete my somewhat "safari" d�cor! Yes, there are many elephant tables out there but very few with glass tops with diameters large enough to accommodate a tiffany lamp ... until now. Through Amazon and Design Toscano, I found the perfect glass topped end table beautifully detailing the majestic bull elephant. The glass top is thick and sturdy and is held in place with a non-intrusive screw allowing for easy removal for cleaning. The table top is approximately 18" round and can accommodate a lamp, telephone, knick-knacks, etc. I purchased two tables and thought the price was more than reasonable for the quality and design of the product.
