I have a window above my queen bed so I needed a headboard that wasn't too high. I searched for a long time finally giving up on the iron headboards and the very masculine dark brown leather headboards. This one is perfect and I think would appeal to either a man or a woman as it has a contemporary look. It arrived within a week UPS in a big box and the delivery man brought it inside my entry which was great because it was very heavy. Took awhile to cut all the cardboard away as it was well-wrapped with no damage. Instructions were good - all nuts, bolts and tools were inside in a plastic bag. Best to lay all of them out first following the diagram and then select the right size bolts. Was not difficult to put together on the floor, (three bolts each leg) just takes a little patience if working alone. Took about 45 mintues to unwrap and attach the two legs. Did not attach the headboard to the bedframe so I could easily move my bed for cleaning but checked that the holes matched the frame slots and they did. Headboard is thickly padded, very sturdy, has a covered back, appears to be made well, and the antique brass nailheads add an updated look without being gawdy. There is a seam around the top edge which defines the thickness. Also came with plastic sliders on the bottom so I could easily slide it across the floor to the bedroom. The microfiber goes perfectly with my new "Safari" (tan, black and Zebra print) bedspread and throw pillows. I wasn't sure if the pictured tan color would be dark enough against my warm tan walls but it is a medium tan so it does have a contrast. Looks expensive and I like that it goes with all different color bedspreads!
