This is a very high quality decorative piece for the money. The antique patina of the helmet against the bright polished brass fittings is gorgeous. Delivery was prompt and it was packaged well to prevent damage.

This helmet does not come with a stand and it will not sit upright on its own on a hard surface. I built a simple stand out of 3/4" thick oak. The ends are basically a half circle 4 1/2" high X 9" wide with an 11 1/2" inside span connected with a single 3/4" X 1" board to hold the end pieces upright. I put 1/2" felt pads on the bottom to protect the table I have this sitting on.
