EdgeStar Energy Star 30 Pint Portable Dehumidifier - White Review

Had this unit for a week. I bought it because it has the digital humidistat. I wanted one that would turn on and off and not run 24x7. It does seem to work well, except that the humidistat seems to run a few degrees high when compared to my digital thermometer/humidistat. It is also fairly loud, although I have nothing to compare it to.

FYI, I have a 1023sqft apartment and it gets in to the 60's with humidity. Just trying to keep it to 50 and this does seem to be working.

The air intake is on the front of the unit and the air flow out is on the right side as you face the unit. It blows air about 4-5 feet away on the output (Quite a cool breeze in the room) and does not seem to give off any heat...although it is only about 70 degrees here right now.

So far I am reasonably happy with the unit.

I will try to update later in the winter when our humidity really climbs.
