When I was a kid, we had Paul Revere pots and pans. I think my Mom still uses the same ones to this day. Once I took off on my own, I'd bought any number of different pots and pans - none stood the test of time. From those brown clear glass things to a T-Fal pan that shed it's non-stick coating (yech!), they've all come and gone. It wasn't until last year that I asked for a full set of decent pots and pans. And what did I get but old faithful - Revere Stainless steel set with tri-ply bottom. Sure, these aren't as sexy as some new non-stick thing you saw on TV, and they aren't endorsed by some wide-mouthed tv chef, but they'll last you a long time and clean up well. The pots are my favorite thing. Sturdy - I've used them a ton, banged them around, cleaned them a million times and they still hold up. Sure, food can stick to them, but just use some elbow grease and the occasional SOS steel wool sponge and they're as good as new! I love them. I plan on using them for as long as they last - which will be a very long time!!!!

I first bought the Jim Shore Nativity Snow Globe about four years ago. After two years, the light would no longer turn on even after I tried several sets of batteries. About three years ago, I bought the "Magic Takes Flight" Musical Masterpiece and last year the spring in the battery compartment broke of and now it cannot no longer light. This year as I put it away, the antler came off. The same year, I bought the tall sitting Rudolph of the Red Nose Reindeer with bells which the nose flashes with a photo sensor. Needless to say, after many battery changes, it works randomly at best. I emailed the company and the best reply they could come up with is they would notify their marketing department. That was it. I was not happy, This is not a complicated function on all three of the items I purchased totaling approximatetly $300.00. I'm done with Jim Shore products.

My purchase arrived damaged with a large chip (about 1/2 dollar size) on the table top corner. The box wasn't damaged, so it was apparently shipped in that condition. When inspecting the damaged corner I was disappointed to observe that the table is not "made of poplar solids and oak veneers" but instead the top appears to be made of pressed cardboard with an oak veneer. Buyer beware! This product is NOT as advertised!

I love the chair. I just got it yesterday and so far so good. It seems like there is a very similar chair with a darker finish that is also offered in a 2 pack for sixty dollars less per chair. The wood on those looked like darker walnut. I bought this one because I wanted the lighter coloring. The picture does not lie -- it looks just like this. The cushion is mandatory, it's the actual seat. Assembly took two seconds with a phillips screwdriver.

The collection is gorgeous, I would have given it 5 stars. But the stable broke in three pieces. Nothing hot glue couldn't fix, but I didn't want to have to give a 'repair' as a Christmas gift. The figurines shipped with no problem. Again, beautiful.
