Maharajah Elephant Glass-Topped Sculptural Table Review

I used this small table as a "coffee table" in my small living room and it looks nice and striking in appearance, it fits my decorum well. The dimensions are given, but one should really understand this is not a big or large scale item. It stands about 21 inches and the glass top is about 18 inches across.

The detail and craftmanship are good in my opinion. Everyone should be aware however, again its small, but would make a good accent table.

I've grown to like it as its an unusual item.

It's a bit heavy. The circular glass top comes off, which you have to be careful of when you pick it up to move for example. It has little suctions that keep the glass attached, but can be easily reattached.

Its great in the proper decorum.

We love how these barstools look (clean, modern), the swivel feature, and that they're easy to wipe clean. However, they're not exactly "easy" to put together. We got four of them and spent average 20 minutes each (including all the packaging removal, etc.). Most disappointing is that over time the legs loosen, or unscrew themselves, so we constantly have wobbling until we retighten. If the bottom leg parts were thicker this might not be a problem, but as you can see from the pics, the lowest thinnest part supports the entire upper, heavier parts. The weak spot is where these lowest legs screw on just under the footrest. They just don't stay tight. Otherwise, handsome stools.

Pros:
-Trash can is super sturdy, has a heavy base, and is hard to tip. Our 40 lb dog got into it only once, and that was when the lid didn't close all the way when we overfilled it. Our dog has been craftily getting into every other garbage can we tried. This is the first one he can barely move.
-The lid opening/closing is pretty sick. It's fast enough that if you've got some drippy stuff you can smack that lever open and dispose of things quickly. The no-noise closing was a luxury at first, but now I realize how my ears have been violated in the past.

Cons:
-Like another reviewer stated, the buckets are an odd size to get trash bags for. The closest I came up with is an 8 gallon bag and making a knot at the opening so the bag will fit snugly over the lip of the bucket. Simple human gives you 3 liners to start you off. They fit perfectly, but to buy them all the time as trash bags is a little ridiculous.
-When changing the bags out, reseating the buckets is a little annoying. If not seated perfectly, the lid will not close all the way. I have to wiggle it every time to get it right. I got used to this small inconvenience, but my husband could never get it right.

If you find yourself stuck with the recycler version like me, you CAN change out the bucket to be a single bucket. The simple human web site sells replacement buckets. I inquired with them, and they told me that the single bucket wouldn't fit, but I got it anyway. And it DOES fit. Now I can happily put my 13 gallon bags in without fuss.

UPDATE: Our dog has now figured out how to tip this heavy trash can over. I can't imagine any other trash can being more durable, unless it has a special latch system. We'll be looking to anchor the trash can down to prevent further tipping.

TMS Koreana Cocktail Table Review

I have been looking for an "asian-inspired" living room set for a while now. Every time I found one I liked, the reviews on it would say how poorly it was constructed, whether it was particle board or veneer-sided. I was excited when I found this set, but I was skeptical because of the price. I ordered the cocktail table alone to see the quality and color of the table before ordering the rest of the set. When I received the delivery, I was happy to discover a box that was quite heavy. After opening the box and seeing the solid wood construction, I was even happier with my purchase. It was very easy to assemble, solid, and stable. I was happy with the dark finish that makes it look like a higher quality wood than pine. It is also not too dark, so you are still able to see the wood grain. My only complaints: 1) Like a previous reviewer, I found the angle of the legs to be a little strange, but it is definitely something I can get used to. 2) The rounded angle on the table top is also a little weird and makes it look like it is round or warped in the middle (but it is not - I used a level to check the entire surface). This is also something I can get used to and I think will look even better once I get a piece of glass cut to fit it. 3) The finish is a little inconsistent on the edges of the legs and especially on the pieces that attach (stick out from the legs). Because these pieces are so small, it is not really that noticeable once assembled and in a way makes the wood look more natural. Overall, I am very happy with this table and after receiving it, immediately ordered the matching 2 Target Marketing Systems Koreana End Table and Target Marketing Systems Koreana Sofa Table. I would definitely recommend this table to others who are looking for solid wood, "asian-inspired" tables that are reasonably priced.
