Do you think it should take over 3 hours to assemble this product? I didn't, and kept on muttering to myself "hopelessly tangled" for those 3 hours. The lights are on two dozen strands, all pre-wired into the base, strung through all the vertical pipes and coming out under the star. Problem is the factory bunches up all the wires into a thick rope - and twists it over and over to reduce the size for packaging. When I began to assemble it, I cut the packaging bands thinking it would unwind and hang down. Uh, uh. Hardly fell at all - the wires had been bent so they were not obeying the law of gravity. When you try to untwist and separate them, your in for one long, rude, ordeal. I got a 9' so it was tedious going up and down a step ladder trying to work through the mess. Whoa unto you who get the 12'. As all the wires are cut to the correct length, it becomes more aggravating to make sure you don't cross over the wires at the top, as they will be to short if they are criss-crossed. I found out the hard way that I had more untangling too do - half dozen more trips up
&down the ladder, unhooking and re-hooking. Way before I got that far, one of the plastic hooks brook. I was able to fashion a new hook with some 12 ga wire. Once it is up, it works fine and looks cool. But 3 hours? I did it by myself: two people should be able to do it in less time
