I've ran this humidifier for over a year now. Despite frequent water pad changes, cleaning, and careful installation, the thing leaks like a sieve on the bottom seam where the two pieces meet. The water draining mechanism is poorly designed and not tolerant to any change in state from 'brand new'. I would strongly recommend considering a different manufacturer. Otherwise, invest in a plastic bucket to put on the floor under the humidifier. Good lord how could they build such a thing and slap their name on it.
